Last Seen — Most Recent First

Last Seen sort ranks combinations by the date of their most recent appearance, placing the freshest hits at the top of the list. Combinations that appeared in the most recent draws rise to position one; combinations that have not appeared in a long time fall to the bottom.

Why It Matters

Frequency tells you how often a combination shows up on average. Last Seen tells you when it showed up most recently — a different question. A combo can have high historical frequency but a long current absence, or low frequency overall with a very recent hit. Sorting by Last Seen gives you the recency picture without the noise of historical averages.

How Stepzero Uses It

Last Seen sort is available on reports that track individual combinations — Doubles, Triples, Combo Frequency, and others. When active, it reorders the list so the most recently drawn combination is at rank one. Use it when you want to see which combinations are currently active versus which have gone quiet, independent of their long-term frequency.

Example

In a Doubles report sorted by Last Seen, double 557 might sit at rank one because it appeared two draws ago. Double 116 might be near the bottom even though it has historically high frequency — it just has not appeared recently. Switching to this sort lets you scan for recent activity across the whole doubles pool at a glance.

FAQ

How is Last Seen different from sorting by drought?

Drought sort ranks by how many draws have passed since the last appearance — a relative measure against each combination's own average gap. Last Seen sort ranks by the raw date of the most recent hit, without any reference to the combination's personal history. A combination with a long average gap might appear near the top of Last Seen sort even though its drought multiplier is low, simply because it happened to hit recently.

Does Last Seen sort change when I change the analysis window?

The Last Seen date is based on the full recorded draw history, not the selected analysis window. Changing the window affects frequency counts and drought calculations, but the most recent appearance date remains fixed to whenever the combination actually last hit.
