Doubles and Triples

A double is a combination where exactly two of the three digits are the same, such as 1-1-7. A triple is a combination where all three digits are identical, such as 7-7-7. Stepzero has dedicated reports tracking the frequency and drought behavior of each.

Why It Matters

Doubles and triples have different probabilities than straights by design — doubles make up 27% of all Pick 3 combinations and triples just 1%. Their reports let you study how these structural pattern types behave on their own, separate from the full combo landscape.

How Stepzero Uses It

The Doubles and Triples reports show frequency, drought depth, multiplier, and consistency for each double or triple combination in the game. Deep-Drought cards highlight which are running furthest past their average gap.

Example

There are 270 possible doubles in Pick 3 (each non-triple combination where two digits match). There are exactly 10 triples: 000, 111, 222, 333, 444, 555, 666, 777, 888, 999.
